Genetics Society: Welfare Officer

Hi! I’m a 2nd Year Human Sciences student with a strong interest in genetics—both the biological and social sides. I’m standing for Welfare Officer because I care deeply about creating a friendly, inclusive space where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

At my high school, I co-founded the Wellbeing Council, where I mentored younger students and organised wellbeing-focused events. That experience made me realise how much I value looking out for others and helping to build a positive community.

I’m approachable, easy to talk to, and always happy to listen. If elected, I’d love to help make the Genetics Society a space where everyone feels welcome, included, and heard—whether that’s through relaxed socials, check-ins, or just being a reassuring presence at events.
