Hi – I'm Leah, an English literature undergraduate and writer for English Society's magazine Green & Gilded.
I would love to take a more active role in the society by helping to create engagement for the many different events that Eng Soc has to offer! I am eager to seize this opportunity to collaborate, support, and build connections with my fellow society members.
I'm passionate about literature and all things related (as you can see through my choice of degree), and I intend to channel the same passion towards ensuring that English Society is as successful and engaging as possible. So, if you would like to see me as Marketing Officer, please vote for me!
Hi everyone, my name is Jamie, and I’m a first-year English student running for the role of Marketing Officer next year!
Being a member of the English Society this year has been an incredible experience, and I’d love the chance to join the committee and build on the society’s current success. As Marketing Officer, my goal would be to expand our reach and boost engagement with all the incredible opportunities our society offers. Specifically, I would aim to:
- Work closely with the social secs to align event promotions with social activities, ensuring that each event is marketed effectively and engages all members of the society.
- Increase marketing efforts for English Society publications to boost exposure for members, showcasing their work to a wider audience.
- Improve multi-channel outreach, advertising every society event via social media, email, and on-campus platforms to ensure high turnout.
- Curate a clear and consistent visual identity for the society, strengthening our brand and making us instantly recognisable across campus.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule across platforms using a content calendar, ensuring that our promotions are timely and aligned.
Given my creative, strategic planning, and communication skills, I am confident I can use this opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the English Society.
