Dance Society has been a space where I have not only been able to rekindle my love for dance, but also foster a meaningful connection with people from all walks of life. As vice president, I hope to be able to continue making dance more accessible and enjoyable to all corners of UCL. I am excited to bring a fresh perspective to the committee and to collaborate with everyone to truly flesh out the Society’s mission of bringing dance as an art form closer to more.

Organisation is a must with the role, and as someone who has balanced the first two years of a pharmacy degree, the competition team, choreographing commitments, and a part-time job, I believe I am well-equipped to tackle the aspects of the role which require careful planning (I literally count pills for class - I’d say I have a pretty good eye for detail!), quick thinking and excellent time-management skills. Thanks to the many hours spent combing through lab data, I love a good Excel spreadsheet and promise a smooth-running and efficient costume cupboard.

I know how great it feels to nail the combo in an audition, but I also know the sting of rejection. Having experienced the ins and outs of Dance Soc for the past two years, I’m ready to give back to this community I treasure so much, and collaborate with not only the committee, but also the members at the core of it all, to make the society ‘Bigger, Better and Best’ (Sharpay Evans, 2007)!
