Hi all!
I had the pleasure of participating in PorticoHack, providing a great experience for my first CTF
I have a lot of intersocietal experience, I have served on several committees this year, including Public Speaking, TEDx, Taylor Swift, and Sign Language. I will also be serving on other committees next year, and have a lot of experience in helping run societies.
I am an activities representative with the union and sit on activities zone. I have also run for several union positions and have a plethora of experience in how the union works.
I hope that I can help bring us more CTFs next year because they are fun as heck.

Since the COVID lockdowns, I have become extremely passionate about online privacy and security. With the surge in ransomware attacks and data breaches, cybersecurity has become crucial, yet it's often one of the most overlooked aspects of technology which is why I believe we must do more to protect our systems from falling into the wrong hands.
As a result, I joined this society to learn more about this field and meet like-minded people ... and I've loved every single event! As one of the most active first years in the society, I have participated in all the workshops, attended many of the talks and participated in PorticoCTF (which was super cool!). This society is great and has so much potential which is why, as Events Executive, I will work with the Head of Events to:
- Collaborate with other unis and make UCL the hub for cybersecurity events in London
- Bring in guest speakers from top tech and cybersecurity companies
- Make PorticoCTF bigger and more exciting
- Help run and organise small CTFs and mini workshops
I am genuinely excited about the incredible opportunities that lie ahead for this society, and I am confident that I am the ideal candidate to drive the growth it is capable of achieving.
