Business Society: President

Hi everyone! I’m Jon, and I’m running to be your next President because I believe UCL Business Society should be more than just events. We have the potential to offer real, practical opportunities for students across all areas of business and more importantly, BE A STEP AHEAD!

🔹 Real Action, Not Just Ideas
   • As an current First-Year Rep, I organised DECA and helped secured external partnerships 
   • Partnered with Cheddar (consulting tracker) to support students applying for consulting roles
   • Co-launching a Startup Internship Tracker with UCL Entrepreneur Society to connect students with hands-on startup experience

🔹 A Broader Vision
Business Society isn’t just about finance. It’s about strategy, innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship. I want the society to be a space where students with diverse interests can build real skills and gain access to career-shaping opportunities.

🔹 What’s Coming Next
   • More real-life startup competitions, investment simulations (AmplifyME), and business-case events (yearly Impact investment Championship Event)!
   • Closer collaboration with GUILD societies to unlock stronger funding and reach!

🔹 Proven Leadership
   • I led a 30-man platoon in the Singapore Army, making decisions under pressure and staying accountable in high-stakes situations.

I’ve already started making changes to move the society forward, and I’m ready to take it even further next year.
