The UCL Review Society: President

As a Penultimate year Philosophy, Politics and Economics student, I have a strong passion for journalism and believe I can provide the leadership needed to take the society to new heights.

Over the past two years at UCL, I have served as Vice President for three different societies, and in these roles I have obtained valuable experience in societal organisation and running successful events, all of which will serve the society well should I be elected as President.

Prior to university, I was a founding member and journalist for my high school journal, which gave me hands-on experience in all aspects of running a publication, from story generation and writing to layout, editing and distribution. It was through this that I discovered my real interest lies in editorial work and helping others share their voices.

If elected President, I intend to implement the following initiatives:

• Expand our online presence and launch a new website to increase exposure for our contributors, allowing us to share content with a wider audience and attract more submissions.
• Introduce an editorial training program for new members to develop their skills in areas like research, interviewing, writing and editing. An emphasis on mentoring upcoming talent is important for the future of the Review.
• Plan a collaborative issue featuring work from students across various UCL societies, highlighting the diversity of thought on campus
