Daniel Wan

Hello there, I’m Daniel, a third year Natural Sciences student currently on a path towards Molecular and Cell Biology, and with a particular interest in aliens. As one of the society’s event officers in past years, I’ve absolutely loved meeting a community of people who all share a passion for the vast unknown that is space, and the sheer diversity of different perspectives people can take on it. Space is such a massive field that is seems the prefix “Astro-” can be stuck in front of any virtually any discipline, from cell biology to law and politics, and still be something of substance. I hope to be Welfare Officer for Space Society this year to continue to grow the community of space enthusiasts and to help the society run as smoothly as possible!

I'm a 3rd year Astrophysics student and really excited to be a part of Space Society! I love interacting with new people and ensuring everyone feels supported within the Society. Last year, I was the welfare officer of Bears Society and helped organise many events, making sure they were accessible for all people interested in participating. I want to encourage Space Soc to organise events that people of all backgrounds can enjoy. As someone who has been at UCL for a few years now, I've been a part of many clubs and seen the possible range of events that can be conducted. I look forward to joining the committee and meeting everyone!
