Romanian and Moldovan Society: Welfare Officer

Hello, my name is Pedro Halpern, I am a Spanish student and I am currently studying Information Management for Business as a third year and will graduate in 2023. Last year, I bonded really well with two Romanian friends and I came to the realisation that I would like to explore more of the Eastern European culture, and I believe that as the Romanian & Moldovan's society welfare officer I can achieve this goal, while simultaneously giving back to it.

I have always enjoyed the company of people from other cultures and while its true that I am not Romanian or Moldovan myself, I believe my international background, especially as a welfare officer can really help bring a new perspective to the society bringing the embracement of more cultures.

I will be working with the Romanian and Moldovan society team to ensure that inclusiveness and diversity are promoted within the society, I strongly believe that no society can be at its best without diversity of ideas and I will ensure to get the message to all UCL students of multiple different backgrounds that if they want to learn more about great cultures they will be welcome here.
