I'm an old hand at LAX Committee by now, having held my current role as Women's 2s Captain since January 2022. I think our standing in the League speaks for itself with regard to how successfully that is going (99% attributable to Frances' organisational prowess, perhaps), so why change something that's not broken?
I have also been interim social sec since the start of October and have been working well with the rest of the Secs to ensure that Wednesday is not hump day for LAXers, but the best day of the week! I have played a large role in the organisation of Lashmas 2023 ( ... just you wait!!) and would love to continue on in the position to continue the good times!! Our social sec quartet is working beautifully at the moment, not only because Carlo and I get each other on a bilingual level, but because I have a fat girl crush on Alex Day (watch out, Major), so things run very smoothly.
My SCALA attendance is 100% (slightly concerning on a personal level) and I hold down that LAX corner like my life depends on it, demonstrating my commitment. I also really need you guys to vote for me so I get that sweet, sweet SCALA pass as big spending on last-minute Halloween SCALA tickets nearly bankrupted me.
We have lots in the works for next term and it would be great to help see our plans come to fruition. Vote for me and maybe there'll be a drinks token headed your way next Wednesday (unless Alex gets her grubby hands on them first)!
