I first joined UCL last year I was so unsure of what uni life would look ahead, and through the welcome week I saw there was a Jazz society which sparked my interest as I had been in music clubs before in secondary school and college. I was hesitant at first being in a new environment, but after the taster sessions I absolutely fell in love with the Jazz choir because of how welcoming everyone was and how relaxed it was both in terms of technicality and commitment. It was a brilliant way to unwind, but also a chance to perform with others enthused with Jazz, and I got to experience the brilliant and exhilarating Jazz show "Around the World!".

Seeing how committed everyone in the committee was in having a smooth run of rehearsals and events, especially the previous manager Prim being so dedicated to her role. I would also like to contribute having now had the experience of not only Jazz society itself but how one is run as the current treasurer of the Natural Sciences society.

I would like to assist in the smooth running of choir rehearsals with a warm and welcoming environment, and hope to rope in many more keen singers (bass singers would be greatly appreciated) to join us. If I was voted in as your choir manager, I promise to have many more fun ~jazzy~ sessions for the year to come!

(more basses would be welcome it's a bit lonely here)

I was involved with Jazz choir last year and for me it became the biggest source of community and joy. The choir means a huge amount to me and I want to help keep it alive and strong! Part of doing that means encouraging as many people as possible to join choir and making sure it’s an accessible space for all.
