Dementia Research Society: Treasurer

Hey everyone! My name is Prishaa and I am currently running for the position of treasurer for the UCL Dementia Research Society. I am a third-year Biomedical Sciences student specialising in control systems. I have a keen interest in the human brain and neurological disorders. Being a part of this field, I am constantly reading about and exploring new research approaches to find effective therapies for these conditions. This keeps me up-to-date with ongoing findings, providing me with the knowledge I need to make justice to this role.

Being the head of extracurricular activities in my high school has granted me leadership qualities along with strong teamwork skills. I have been a professional lawn tennis player for the last seven years and this has taught me to be resilient as an individual.

As a society treasurer, I would like to create a friendly environment where all members can easily approach the committee and share their opinions openly. I would want all members of the society to gain in-depth knowledge about dementia by planning volunteering events and holding regular seminars with researchers.
