Dance soc has very quickly become my favorite thing about UCL and I have been as involved as I can be since I will only have one year here. It’s amazing having such a supportive dance community where people can be passionate, have fun, and make friends along the way and I would love to a part of that. As an international postgrad student, I think I could help to represent a large portion of the students this year in dance soc on the committee!

Laurie Sin

In my 14 years of dancing, I have learnt the importance of commitment. Now, I am eager to contribute my experience and learn from the incredible talents in our Dance Society by taking on general committee duties.

With three years of leadership experience in secondary school, I have honed my communication and teamwork skills. If elected, I will collaborate and support the committee members.

Since joining UCL two months ago, I have noticed a gap in performance opportunities for ballet beginners. If chosen, I will promote ballet and ensure all dance types are represented. Together, let's make our Dance Society a place where everyone feels inspired and welcomed.

Melissa Demir

I am running for Freshers Representative because of my unrelenting enthusiasm for dancing and my dedication to creating an inclusive and thriving dance community. I hope to contribute by organising events of interest to our new members' different interests, developing a sense of belonging, and ensuring that every fresher has an enriching time within the dance club. As a Freshers Representative, I want to be the voice that speaks for our newest members' needs and objectives, thereby improving the general dance community spirit.
