Hi everyone! I'm a second-year law with French law student from Toronto standing to be your Welfare Officer. I am running for this position because I want to make sure every single member of the society feels included and supported. My experience at UCL societies includes being Marketing Officer of Legal Tech and Year rep for Law Society. This experience has given me insight into what is involved in being on a committee and how the Students' Union operates.

I pledge to be a contact for anyone who needs my support and to be an invaluable addition to the Canadian Society committee. I hope you will vote for me! Contact me [email protected] or @ange1abrown on IG with any questions :D

Spending my three years of high school in a boarding school in Canada, I was first at lost and felt a large gap between my culture back home and the culture in Canada. But the only thing that helped me onto my feet were the people around me, who noticed me struggling and let me into their conversations, their activities, so that I would not feel alone. That is why I would like to become welfare officer for the Canadian society. I would like to give back the love and kindness that I experienced in Canada in the UK to students who are maybe feeling a bit lonely or frustrated and stressed with something in their lives.

The Canadian culture helped me become who I am and I would love it if I can become welfare officer and be a positive influence to others.

Thank you,

Kosei Satoh
