Sriram Karthi

Hello! I am Sriram and I am second year Economics student.

This summer I completed an internship at Pareto Economics (a global affairs consultancy firm). From this experience I discovered how rewarding a career in consulting can be and want to share what I have learnt with all of our members. I see the Business Society as the best spring-board into careers in business and consulting. Thus my main agenda is as follows:

  • Events: Introducing more workshops and enhance case studies to make sure members have the correct skills to navigate interviews within consulting
  • Careers: Having had experience in successfully attained a spring internship (Schroders), I am well versed in the fundamentals required to help our members get onto programmes from top consulting firms like McKinsey, BCG and Bain.
  • Industry Relations: Utilize existing networks to organize exclusive events from senior industry professionals and firms
  • Expansion: To expand the Business Societies' pool of sponsor firms and to build new relationships with firms in the consulting industry

By voting for me you are ensuring that visible change will be happening within the upcoming year. I plan to restructure the Consulting division for the better and maintain the high flying nature of the Business Society at UCL!

Brayden Ng

Starting as a First Year Executive to a Consulting Executive, I have been a member for the society for my 3rd consecutive year and I hope to continue contributing to its vibrant and family-like community. I've been extremely familiar with the processes and mode of operations of the Business Society and believe have a unique advantage running for this position. As a consulting exec, I've led outreach and partnership with BCG to hold various campus recruitment and events such as “CV Speed-dating Clinic” and “Pride@BCG”  and coordinated the Non-Finance Orientation Day with 100+ attendees for tech and consulting industries. On the other hand, I've also been a participant and champion of the society's DECA Case Competition and Investment Impact Championship, granting me insight on how to better improve our events from the perspective of a participant.

Furthermore, I'm laser-focused in my career in consulting and advisory as well. From my internships in advisory roles at both KPMG and EY, I'm not only honed to adapt to the detail-oriented, client-focused responsibilities at your firm, but I also aim to utilise my network for speaker and mentor outreach - which is critical for attracting signups. I've also been a project lead with the UCL ChangeMaker's initiative that adds to my experience in leading collaborative efforts with students, mentors and faculty.
