Bentham Brooks Institute Society: Head of Welfare and Research

My name is Ella and I am a postgraduate student studying MSc International Public Policy.

I am very keen to lead the society’s production of high-quality research papers and play a part in guiding and training the researchers during the process. I have a wealth of research experience, including working as a Research Consultant for the Overseas Development Institute over the past year and being part of the York Student Think Tank during my undergraduate degree. I believe this experience will put me in a great position to set the research agenda for the society’s policy paper and deadlines, assign roles and divie workload amongst the researchers and assisting the researchers in their research when necessary.

I believe society’s offer to inspire talented students to pursue careers in academia, think tanks, and the public sector is extremely valuable and allows students to get a true insight into the kind of work they might take part in the future. I look forward to playing a part in this process!
