I’m Esther and I’m running for president :)

I’m Romanian, grew up in the UK, but spent all my summers in Romania, fully immersed in the language, music, and traditions. Not living there has actually made that connection even more special.

I’d love to share that with others and build a space that challenges stereotypes and celebrates everything Romania and Moldova have to offer.

What I’d like to bring:

Casual socials (pub trips, BBQs, film nights)
Cultural events (Mărțișor, Christmas traditions, traditional food and dance workshops)
Embassy visits and talks on politics, identity, and language
Collaborations with other universities (KCL, LSE, City, etc.) and with Balkan & Slavic societies (bonus: I’m half Czech!)
An engaging Instagram presence shaped by members’ ideas — making the society feel like a real community, not just a club
Why me:
I’m a bridge between Romania/Moldova and the UK. As an ESPS International Relations student, I’m genuinely interested in how our region fits into global conversations. I’ve had experience running social media, organising events, and working with diverse communities. I’m approachable, organised, and invested in building something meaningful that brings people together — whether you’re from Romania, Moldova, part of the diaspora, or simply curious to learn more.
