Psychology and Education Society: Postgraduate Representative

As Postgraduate Officer, I want to strengthen collaboration and connection across the postgraduate community while supporting students’ academic and professional development. Currently completing an MSc in Child Development, I am passionate about how psychology and education intersect to shape learning, wellbeing, and personal growth.

During my internship at Overcome, a UK-registered mental-health coaching organisation, I worked with individuals experiencing stress and anxiety, applying frameworks such as CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing. This experience showed me how psychological insight can foster confidence, motivation, and resilience, values I would bring to our postgraduate community.

If elected, I plan to:
- Organise career and research events that connect postgraduate students with academics, practitioners, and alumni in psychology and education
- Develop peer support and mentoring initiatives to create a stronger network among postgraduate cohorts
- Ensure our events and discussions highlight the real-world applications of psychology and education in improving wellbeing and lifelong learning
