Kat Lu

HI! My name is Kat and I am running for your publicity officer.

I am currently a BA philosophy 3rd year student; therefore, I am pretty familiar with philosophy as a subject. In the past two years of my university experience, I have also been a committee member for UCL Philsoc. If you view our Instagram and the Bentham Digest instagram, you can see the past posts I have made. I've also worked as the welfare officer for Philsoc last year and I am on the committee for MAP (minorities in philosophy) this year. I believe myself to be a candidate with ample experience and a genuine passion for this role.

Lastly, I also am currently the person doing publicity work for this society, which means that if you liked my work so far, voting for me will mean that I can continue what I have been doing.

Annabelle Cheung

My name is Annabelle, and I am a first-year Philosophy BA student. I would like to nominate myself as the Social Media Officer, as I recognise social media to be one of the best and most efficient platforms to communicate and connect with like-minded individuals.

My background in Visual Arts has taught me that design is thinking made visual. I have gained valuable experience by creating original designs using Canva as I was appointed as the youngest Editor-in-Chief of my high school’s Student Magazine. In addition, I was commissioned by a range of student-led committees during high school (Round Square, School Thrift Store, Peer Mentoring programs) to design social media (Instagram) posts, physical posters, visual-based presentations, student merchandise and more.

I hope that my passion for graphic design and digital marketing can help make philosophy at UCL even more accessible and engaging to all. I am eager to bring my design skills and fresh perspective to help the Philosophy Society grow as your Social Media Officer.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Annabelle
