Rhea Citra

Hi guys! My name is Rhea :D I’m a first-year student at UCL studying the UPCH for Law, and I’m really excited to nominate myself for the position of Marketing and Social Media Director at the UCL Indonesian Society! I’ve always loved creative storytelling and finding new ways to connect people through shared experiences - especially when it comes to celebrating our Indonesian culture abroad.

Back in high school, I was the editor of our school magazine, where I learned how to design layouts, write engaging features, and lead a small team to bring our ideas to life. I was also president of the student council, which gave me experience in event planning, promotion, and communicating with a large audience in a fun and approachable way. Those roles really taught me how to blend creativity with teamwork and responsibility, which are skills I’d love to bring into IndoSoc’s marketing and social media.

If elected as Marketing and Social Media Director, I hope to make IndoSoc’s online presence even more lively, interactive, and authentic. I want to create content that not only promotes our events but also reflects the warmth, humour, and pride of being Indonesian. Whether it’s fun reels, behind-the-scenes stories, or cultural highlights, I want our platforms to feel like a space where everyone belongs. I’d be so excited to contribute my ideas, creativity, and energy to make IndoSoc even more connected and vibrant.

Audrey Leo

Hi everyone! My name is Audrey. I’m a first year studying Art & Technology, and I’m really excited to be running for Marketing Director!

Back in high school, I worked with a few NGOs as a lead Creative Director and eventually became Head of Media in my student council, where I handled our social media presence alongside a team of 10+ junior designers. Those experiences taught me how to communicate messages with Design, a language I feel as though I am most fluent in.

For Indosoc, I really want to emphasize a sense of belonging. I hope to shape future events in a way that makes every social, movie night, potluck, and event feel genuinely approachable. Moving to London came with a lot of excitement, but also those instances of feeling unsure and trying to find where you fit. And honestly, sometimes joining a new event can feel intimidating, even when you're interested. That's where I hope my work comes in: setting the tone, help things feel warm rather than closed off, and give people that small push to show up and try new things :)

Outside of design, I spend time building small games, experimenting with creative coding, and playing tennis when the weather decides to cooperate (which, let’s be real, doesn’t happen often oops). I’d be happy to bring that same spirit and creativity to the Marketing Director role, and help Indosoc continue to grow as a space that feels like "a home away from home".

Megan Kosasih

I am applying for Head of Marketing because I am passionate in promoting Indonesian culture here in London and strengthening the bonds between our society members. As someone who is eager to meet and work with new people, as well as having experience in leading a team, I believe that I am a suitable candidate for the position of marketing director. Throughout high school, I have taken on multiple marketing roles. One of which is the Head of Marketing for the Student Council. During my time as Head of Marketing, I had to upload on our student council instagram page every week while coordinating with the other members such as the President and Events Officer to plan and release content in a timely manner. During my time as Head of Marketing, I was fortunate enough to be the head of a couple projects such as the Valentines Day Fundraiser event, where I not only had to create content for all social media platforms but also coordinate the logistics of the event with the committee under my guidance.  Aside from that, I was also Head of Marketing for the Innovators Society at my school where I developed strong skills in social media management, branding and team collaboration. I would like to use these skills to build a strong Indonesian community where we can share our culture with others who may be interested in it as I believe effective marketing can bring people together.

Grace Tjandra

I am standing for Marketing Director because I believe effective storytelling can strengthen our community and elevate the Indonesian Society’s presence across UCL and beyond. As someone deeply proud of our culture, I want to bridge tradition and modern identity through creative campaigns that inspire engagement, inclusivity, and pride among members.

Having completed courses in digital marketing and media literacy, I’ve gained hands-on experience with social media analytics, content design, and audience engagement. As founder of the Socialpreneurship Club at my school, I led promotional campaigns that raised awareness for student-led businesses. More recently, I have managed outreach projects for Compass 4 Careers, a youth-led non-profit with 120+ partner organizations, refining my skills in branding, visual storytelling, and cross-platform communication.

As Marketing Director, I would reimagine our digital presence through creative reels, event teasers, and interactive content that reflects the warmth and vibrancy of Indonesian culture. I aim to strengthen collaborations with other cultural societies, promote career and cultural events, and make every Indonesian student at UCL feel represented and connected. Through strategic marketing and community-driven creativity, I hope to help the Society grow into a vibrant hub of culture, friendship, and pride.
