I am putting myself forward for Social Secretary because I am passionate about ice skating and love the sense of community that comes with the Ice Club. Since joining, I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone and would love to help make our socials even more fun and inclusive. As the current Advertising Manager for the Education Society, I have gained valuable experience in event promotion and organisation — skills I would bring to plan creative, well-run socials. I would love the chance to share my ideas and energy in this role, and I hope you will consider me for Social Secretary.

Hailey Lee

Hi everyone! I’m Hailey Lee, currently studying Sustainability Policy and part of the Yetis' C team.
I may not be the most familiar face in the room yet, but I’m running for Social Secretary because I truly care about what this team can become - not just on the rink, but as a community.

I know how important team bonding and real connection are for any sports club. What happens off the rink often shapes how we play together on it. As someone doing a one-year master’s, I want to make every moment count - to build memories, friendships, and a sense of family that lasts beyond this year. I’d love to try new and old ideas with all of you, from fun themed nights and game-day traditions to small post-practice socials that can make everyone feel included.

I’ve previously served as an East Asian student representative and a key member of a society, where I learned how to organise events,  bring people together and collect their voices. These experiences taught me how to plan creatively while keeping things inclusive and well-run. I’m excited to bring those skills into our hockey community.

If given the opportunity, I’ll work closely with the other Social Secretary to make our events meaningful, our friendships stronger, and our club the BEST and the most close-knit sports society at UCL.

Give me the chance — I’ll bring the enthusiasm, organisation, and heart to make it happen. Let's do crazy things. Let me add a sprinkle of warmth and madness to your year :p

Ellie Tsolacos

Hi everyone!! I’m Ellie and I would love to be your figure skating social sec this year! I know that there are a lot of mixed interests amongst the figure skaters, so I would make sure to plan both chill activities (eg. picnics and gingerbread house making) and themed sports nights. I am also open to new ideas, and if anyone has anything they would like to do, please ask me and I'll try my best to make it happen! I would also like to bring figure skating and ice hockey closer by making some of our Wednesday socials joint - it will be a great opportunity to meet new people with a similar interest! See you all soon :)

Sean Lee

Hi, I'm Sean and I'm currently studying MSc Space Science and Engineering. I'm also a player for UCL Yetis B  (please don't put me in goalie)

Having more than a decade's time on ice (and still being bad), I would love to socialise with those that share the same passion in ice skating as me, whether you're a figure skater or a hockey player.  I'm very approachable and would be down to do anything (sensible) that is suggested by the club.

I’m all about creating more inclusive, relaxed, and fun social events that everyone can get involved with – no matter your skating background. From pub nights to movie marathons, or even something like karaoke (mully's anyone?). I want everyone, whether you're a pro or a beginner on ice, to feel welcome and make some awesome memories together.

If you're up for more variety, better vibes, and a community that feels like a family, vote for me as Ice Hockey Social Sec. Let’s make this year's Ice Club socials something we can all enjoy and remember!

Nerdy stuff: I've been department and course rep before,  i also dribbled through the whole Birmingham Lions C team and missed all my shots
