Head of Design (Rare FM)

hi!! my name's katie and i'm super excited to be starting rare this year (see you on saturdays 11-12 w/ highkey fidelity!!!). i'm an english student, but have a background in design and photography through my work on various zines, writing on history of art and ongoing status as a canva pro warrior. i could try and write a picture here, but would more honestly recommend a stalk of my insta (@katiesgh0st) for some visuals / vibes, or you can drop me an email @ [email protected] for a chat anytime.

• film and digital photography (canon eos 2000D dslr  + 35mm on zenit ttl, in particular)
• plugged in - constantly seeking new references and inspiration in and outside the city
• experience with canva and most adobe products
• reliable, highly organised and available !
• proficient in gcse french and microsoft excel ;)

As a passionate history of art student, I love everything that is visual. Throughout my experience so far as the head of design of the Electronic Music Society of UCL as well as an active member of the design team of Unity Sound, the encompassing London university dj society, I’ve managed to develop skills in photoshop and graphic design.

My passion for design also shows in my work as a designer for the UCL history of art magazine, where I also get to showcase my love for creativity. I also believe that I have a very strong potential for curating the social media aspect of Rare FM, as a “micro influencer” on TikTok with a total of 19k followers, I have experience in that domain. 

I am also overall very motivated to be part of the Rare FM team, I’m very excited to make use of my radio slot and also to be a bridge between EMS and Rare FM!
