Fencing Club: Secretary

Hi everyone!

I'm Maryam and I really want to be your fencing club secretary! Im in my second year studying BSc Psychology and I would love a role in this society, as I joined at the start of this year as a beginner and have since been engaged with all the sessions. I have previous experience of handling admin responsibilities as well as maintaining and organising accurate records. I am organised and efficient and I genuinely enjoy the process of keeping things running smoothy behind the scenes and making sure everyone gets what they need. I'm prepared to keep track of things, follow up on duties and do whatever necessary for the benefit of our team.

I believe in a club that strives for cohesion, inclusion and achievement. With close ties to the current committee and experience on how to run other fencing clubs, I believe I will act as a strong liaison within the UCL Fencing Club. Alongside aiding the committee, I will bring fresh ideas that benefit the entire club whilst also listening to you the members. With your vote, we can achieve greatness within the club.
