Egyptian Society: Treasurer

Hello, my name is Karla and I’m a second-year medical student running for Treasurer. I want to help our society grow through transparent, organised, and creative financial management. I hope to manage our finances efficiently to make sure every event is memorable, high-quality, and accessible to everyone.

My goals include introducing clear budgeting strategies, running enjoyable fundraising events, and building reliable partnerships with sponsors. I believe good financial planning is essential for running a successful society and forms the foundation for everything we do.

Over the past few months, I’ve been involved in helping organise Egyptian Society events and working closely with the committee to make sure things run smoothly and continue to attract more students. This society has been a great way to connect with our rich and ancient culture – a true home away from home for many of our students. This community has always been comforting and welcoming, so I’m committed to giving back by maintaining its financial stability and supporting its growth.
