Cycling Club: Development Officer

I'm keen to take on the role of Development Officer to support the cycling club's growth and continuity. I hope to leverage my experience founding and leading my former university's cycling club to grow club funds and identify opportunities to make membership worthwhile.

I want to contribute my time to organising cycling trips - both local and further afield. Providing opportunities for racing in London's cycling scene through a British Cycling membership. Supporting the general running of the cycling club so that committee members can comfortably manage the club's goals for the year. Helping the current committee find a cycling coach to develop confidence and talent. I would also like to find ways to give the club a continuous income if possible - for example, in my previous role, I organised winter "Zwift" spin classes and charged non-members who wanted to join each session. Importantly, as this is my first year at UCL as a postgraduate student, I'm keen to learn what members would like from their memberships to ensure they feel they're getting good value for money, and then seek to implement those insights into the club's plans.
