Civil Engineering Society: Sports Officer

I believe that sports is one of the most effective ways to bring people together, build community, and create a sense of balance alongside academic life. University can often become overwhelming with coursework and deadlines, and I want to ensure that students in Civil Engineering – across all year groups – have opportunities to relax, connect, and have fun through sport.

My goal would be to create inclusive and engaging sporting activities that encourage participation from everyone, regardless of skill level. I also aim to strengthen connections not only within Civil Engineering but across other engineering departments. Whether it’s through friendly competitions, inter-department tournaments, or casual social games, I want to make sport an enjoyable and accessible outlet for all students.
