I am running for the position of First Year Representative in Marketing because I want to help the Business Society connect, communicate, and grow its presence on campus. Marketing goes beyond promotion; it involves storytelling and engagement. I aim to make sure every initiative of the society is presented in a way that excites students, shows our professionalism, and encourages participation.

As First Year Representative, I will take charge of supporting marketing campaigns for events, competitions, and initiatives. This includes designing content, managing outreach, and helping create clear and engaging messaging. I enjoy focusing on the details that make communication effective, such as consistency in branding, timing of posts, and understanding what type of content resonates with students.

I also want to ensure first-year students’ voices are heard in the society’s marketing strategy. By gathering feedback and paying attention to what captures our interest, I can help the team develop strategies that feel relatable and engaging. Whether it’s through digital promotion or visibility on campus, I will focus on making the society stand out and grow its identity.

In the end, I am running because I believe strong marketing fosters connection and community. With creativity, organization, and a team-focused mindset, I plan to help the Business Society share its ideas well and create a strong, recognizable presence that every student can be proud of.

Kaden Ross

You should vote for me for marketing representative as I have the skills needed to excel in this role. This position requires a creative leader who takes initiative and can not only collaborate well with his society but also manage himself and his team effectively. Since GCSE art, I developed an interest in design, both graphic and website design. This gave me the required creativity to excel at marketing services, societies and even projects. This creative thinking will continue to help me in marketing business society. Over the past few years, having not only captained sports team, but also co-led societies such as entrepreneurs society and investment society, I learnt the leadership and collaboration skills that I need to take initiative and get the most out of the teams I am working with. Balancing the IB diploma program taught me more about organisation and time management. These skills ensure that marketing projects will run smoothly to maximise students experiences and bring in the most interest. Finally, I developed my communication and collaboration skills by being extroverted. From actively seeking conversations, connections and opportunities, I learnt how to effectively market myself and opportunities to individuals and groups to maximise outreach and interest of students. These skills are indispensable in a marketing representative looking to surpass expectations. Hence, If you want to make the marketing this year the best it can be, Vote me for representative!

Marvin Chiu

Hey there! My name is Marvin Chiu, and I’m throwing my hat into the ring to be your First Year Representative for Marketing. To me, the best possible outcome in our First Year Council is to be unmissable on campus.

The Marketing team needs individuals who are responsive, passionate about design, and thrive under pressure. My experience has directly prepared me for this fast-paced environment:

At the HK Federation of Youth Groups, I took charge of online pages, orchestrating marketing strategies that significantly increased service visibility. This hands-on experience in controlling social media and boosting engagement is exactly what this role demands.

The internships that I had with Xiaomo Biotech and Brex involved problem-solving with tight deadlines and proved that I was capable of performing last-minute tasks without compromising on quality. I was comfortable with maintaining high responsiveness and taking decisive action in such environments.

As Student Council Director of Welfare, I was constantly communicating and promoting benefits to the student body, crafting clear and compelling messages that drove participation and value.

Vote for a representative who will work tirelessly to put our society on the map. Vote for Marvin Chiu for First Year Rep - Marketing. Let's make some noise together

Rustam Mukhamedjanov

In my opinion, marketing is more than promotion, it’s about storytelling, strategy, and connection. I am Rustam, and I’m running for FYR - Marketing because I want to make the Business Society not just visible, but unforgettable.

As a former Head Boy, I learned how to lead initiatives, inspire collaboration, and communicate messages that truly resonate. I’ve also led a number of creative and media projects - from coordinating Model UN promotional campaigns to founding a student magazine. These experiences taught me how to turn ideas into campaigns that attract attention and deliver real impact.

If elected, I’ll bring a fresh, creative approach to our marketing. I’ll focus on producng cohesive branding, bold visuals, and storytelling that captures what our Society stands for: innovation, ambition, and connection. Expect content that’s engaging and memorable. I have a range of new ideas for social media, event promotion, and collaborations across campus that I want to share with everyone! My goal is to build a recognizable identity for our Society - one that people really want to be part of.

Vote for me if you want a Marketing Rep who blends creativity with strategy, and vision with results.

Let’s not just share what we do, let’s make everyone want to be part of it!
