I am currently serving as the interim Treasurer of the society, and over the past few months I have worked on planning and organising the club’s finances to ensure that every member, from beginner to advanced, has the resources to enjoy regular trainings and games.
But since my position has been on an interim basis, I am now standing for election to continue my duties officially - and your support is crucial for me to do so.
Looking ahead, I have been reaching out to potential sponsors and exploring ways to secure long-term funding for the club. I believe this will be an important step towards making our club financially sustainable, so that we can keep growing our baseball community here in London.
Hello,
I am Aayush, a first-year student studying Electronic and Electrical Engineering. I'm excited to be running for the position of Baseball Club Treasurer.
I've only started playing baseball since joining UCL, and have already fallen in love with the sport. Prior to joining, I was part of my school's cricket team, where I was captain of the second XI, meaning I have some experience in a committee role. I've started watching baseball too (still trying to figure out which team to support!) and really enjoy it.
I believe I would be suitable for the position of treasurer thanks to my experience shadowing my dad, who is an accountant, meaning I have understood some basic financial management skills, and I'm willing to learn more for and during the role.
If elected, I will ensure full transparency with financial transactions, and importantly work with the committee to help improve anything which you may have an issue with at the club. I will make sure budgets are planned carefully and use funds fairly.
Thank you for reading my manifesto, and I hope you consider me when voting for the position.
I’m running for Treasurer because I care about our team and want to make sure our finances are handled fairly, clearly, and with everyone’s best interests in mind. Baseball is a team sport in every sense, and I believe good organisation off the field helps us perform better on it.
If elected, I’ll keep our budget transparent so everyone knows where the money’s going whether it’s new kit, travel, or training gear. I’ll also look for simple, fun ways to raise extra funds, like local sponsorships or team events that bring us together and strengthen our community spirit.
I’m organised, honest, and happy to listen to ideas from anyone. My goal is to make managing the team’s money stress-free, so we can all focus on playing great baseball and supporting each other. With your vote, I’ll do my best to keep our finances strong and our team thriving.
