Art Business Society: Treasurer

Hi! My name is Sofia (she/her). I am nominating myself as treasurer as I have extensive experience of positions of leadership in societies and I really appreciate what ArtBusSoc is doing this year! :)

I have been Head of a society and Chair of two committees in my sixth form as well as Vice President of ELSA here at UCL. These experiences have given me the skills necessary to participate actively in the leadership of a society. 
While most of you might not know me yet, I always participate in every ArtBusSoc event I have the chance to attend and I actively seek out connections with museums and galleries (I have no shame so I will cold email just about anyone). 
I promise as treasurer to be always a friendly face and to listen to your ideas, while also keeping projects budget friendly and up to the amazing standard that they are now.

Through the experience as the acting Treasurer of the Art Business Society, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an inspiring and dedicated committee that share my passion for making the art market more accessible. This role has given me firsthand insight into how meaningful our work is in bridging the gap between students and opportunities in the art world. 

I am deeply committed to continuing this mission through expanding access to valuable career insights, creating more opportunities for our members to connect with industry professionals, and ensuring that every student interested in art business has the support and resources they need to get a real head start in their careers. With your support, I’m eager to keep driving our society forward with increased visibility and empowering our members to turn their passion for art into a future of possibilities.
