Wellbeing and inclusivity are two of the most important things for me coming from an underrepresented background. Being part of the 93% Club has helped me overcome these barriers by being in a welcoming space around great like-minded people. It’s also brought me opportunities I might not have had before career wise.

I want to give that same experience back now and represent others so they feel supported and included in the same way this society has done for me. As your Wellbeing and Communications Officer, I’ll make sure our events and spaces reach people from all backgrounds and that everyone feels comfortable getting involved.

I will also keep our members up to date and make sure our social media reflects that we are a welcoming and supportive community for everyone so that we can keep growing as a safe and supportive space.

Lily Wells

I would love to be the 93% Club's Welfare and Communications Officer! I’m so passionate about the 93% Club and how important it is at universities like UCL. It’s such a valuable space to meet people from similar backgrounds and to feel understood and supported — something I’ve personally really appreciated.

By being Welfare and Communications Officer, I hope to help strengthen that sense of community even further. I want to make sure everyone feels comfortable, included, and heard within the club. I’d love to create more opportunities for members to connect — whether through relaxed socials, welfare drop-ins, or creative online engagement — and to make our communications clear, welcoming, and accessible to all.

Ultimately, I believe the 93% Club plays a vital role in making universities more inclusive and in opening doors to opportunities both within and beyond the university community.

Do you want advanced notice of any socials being hosted by the 93% club?

Do you want to see more of the 93% club on social media?

Do you want inclusive events throughout the year?

Well look no further!

I am Adam, a second year Economics student here at UCL.

During my first year, I tried to attend as many 93% club events as possible but I found they were often not announced far enough in advance (The committee is doing a good job this year though :D).

My goal as the Welfare and Communications officer is to make sure socials are announced as early as possible (preferably up to 2 weeks in advance). I also want to increase the social media presence of the 93% club and our presence on campus, hopefully leading to the society growing in size.

I will also strive to make our society events as inclusive as possible through alcohol free socials and budget friendly fun activities.

See you at a social!

Summer Zebkhan

Hello,

My name is Summer, and I’m running to be your Welfare and Communications Officer. Having been part of the 93% Society for the past two years, I want to make an even greater impact this year by joining the committee.

My main priority is to ensure that our society remains a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for everyone. I want all members to feel comfortable reaching out and to know exactly who to contact if they have any welfare concerns. Through my current roles within the SU and UCL, I’ve gained valuable experience in signposting people to the right support services — or simply being someone who’s there to listen.

I’d also love to continue promoting the 93% Society and its events to strengthen our community and raise awareness of the amazing opportunities available to members.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
