TEDx Society: Welfare Officer

I am standing for the role of welfare officer so that TedXSociety can remain a safe space for everyone to share their beliefs on a topic comfortably and without fear of discrimination of any sort. From organising a fundraiser, which raised over £300, as Co-Head of Med Club in sixth form to communicating with vendors and working with a budget to organise a POC ball last year - I believe I have gained effective communication skills and the ability to work with any individual, which will be important in this role. I hope to be able to represent students' interests and needs regarding welfare, particularly in a society which may cover sensitive topics in discussion.
