Sudanese Society: Events Officer

I am extremely excited to apply for the role of Events Officer for the UCL Sudanese Society and have the opportunity to contribute to this beloved society. Over the past month I have been lucky enough to work with my close friends within the Sudanese Society Committee, to volunteer organising several engaging events. This has not only helped me understand how to arrange events in the most optimal ways, but also has deepend my commitment to produce a welcoming and supportive community not just for Sudanese students at UCL, but for all who wish to learn and connect with Sudanese culture. With the current conflict in Sudan, I feel particularly passionate in creating solidarity, emotional connections and cultural pride within our society. I feel especially motivated by previous committee members, who led such thoughful events, to design fresh events that offer amusement and support to members throughout the year.
