Hi there,
I’m applying for this role due to my passion for music events overal,l but also due to having past experience in event management. I’ve run an event called The Boative for the past few years, which is a party I curate on my mates boat, which has always filled capacity. I also work at a record label called BBE where I also do the PR and social media if that’s ever needed too. I like to get things done quickly and efficiently, but I love spending time researching to find the right match for things that will work best.
If any of this sounds like it will fit for you guys, I’d love to get involved and help out wherever.
Thanks,
Ariana
Hello! I’m Bhoomi and I’m a second year English student. I didn’t have my own show at Rare last year but I spent lots of time watching my friends host theirs, so I became very familiar with the studio and committee, and I’m super excited to be directly involved with Rare this year!
I really love organising, hosting, and meeting new people, and I really value bringing people together and creating a sense of community, which would be very applicable to being events manager. As well as this, I’ve spent a lot of time exploring different events and venues around London, so I think I would be great at offering up cool and unique locations, plus making sure an event is always smooth-sailing and fun!
As events manager, I would focus on hosting more socials as I think they’re a great way to get involved with the society in a more laidback and casual way, especially for students who are newly looking to join. As well, I think collaborating more with other UCL societies would be really cool, for example, working with MODO or a dance society to DJ events. Additionally, hosting collaborations with radio societies at other London unis could be a really fun and unique way to create a larger sense of community, whether that would be through co-hosting radio shows, or DJing club and venue events!
