Hi everyone, I’m Audrey and I’m running for Editor-in-Chief of Circum Mundum :)
I’ve always been interested in diplomacy and foreign policy, and I’ve written articles on a range of topics such as AI development, public policy and immigration. I was News Editor at Pi Media last year, so I am familiar with editing large volumes of work within tight deadlines, and I was a summer intern at Vogue, where I developed professional editing skills and published articles to a high standard.
I volunteered in China a few years ago as a primary school teacher, and I’m currently writing my dissertation about the US presidency. I am also a registered translator for TEDx. These have allowed me to experience different political climates and familiarise myself with policies in various parts of the world.
I am a strong believer in writing as a powerful way to stay informed, assert your beliefs and make a change. During COVID, I founded my own publication, uniting students from various backgrounds to engage in meaningful dialogue. I worked closely with schools around the world and reached out to NGOs for collaboration, donating all proceeds from copies sold.
As EIC, I’ll make sure to maintain the highest quality of work and ensure that a range of opinions are represented. I’ll also work with the committee to further engage writers through socials where we can discuss current affairs in a more relaxed setting.
