I'm standing for Treasurer of IPAS because I have a deep interest in public policy and I am really excited to be a part of a society that makes learning about and debating key issues in public affairs accessible to all. Currently pursuing a master’s in International Public Policy, I’ve dedicated myself to understanding complex global issues, both theoretically and practically. My undergraduate studies at UCL's Institute of the Americas gave me a solid foundation at UCL, where I was able to get to know the vibrant academic community, to whom I feel deeply connected. This term, I've attended several of the policy and practice seminars, which not only expanded my understanding of international topics like the recent Indian elections but also allowed me to analyse domestic issues I’m closely familiar with as a UK national, such as the summer race riots. It would be an honour this year to be closely involved with the society and the 'democratisation of knowledge' by making such issues accessible to all students at UCL.

As Treasurer, I'd bring a strong set of organisational and numerical skills to the role. I have a natural affinity for numbers, which helps me manage budgets efficiently and with attention to detail, and I’m meticulous when it comes to record-keeping. I'm confident that my blend of analytical skills, enthusiasm for international and public affairs, and commitment to UCL’s community would make me a strong treasurer who can contribute policy to the IPAS.
