When I first arrived on UCL’s campus, I couldn’t help but wonder, where are all the Indonesian postgrads hiding? With so many of us here, surely we’re not all just buried in the library or lecture halls! As postgraduates, we have only a short time, just one year for most of us. We should make the most of it by building connections, sharing our culture, and supporting each other. I want to create a stronger, more visible presence for Indonesian postgraduates at UCL. I see this role as an opportunity to bring us together, not only for academic support, but to foster a truly engaged community where we can connect socially, create networks, and leave a lasting impact on UCL’s Indonesian Society.

I am nominating myself for Indonesian Society Postgrad Representative because I am passionate about building a supportive and engaged community for Indonesian postgraduates. As a student in the Democracy and Comparative Politics program, I understand the unique challenges we face, from academic pressures to adjusting to life in London. If elected, I aim to increase engagement through events and initiatives that celebrate our culture and provide practical support, including academic collaboration, networking, and professional resources. I am committed to ensuring our society is both a cultural anchor and a platform for Indonesian postgraduates to thrive, connect, and make the most of our experience at UCL. Together, we can build a vibrant network that uplifts each member.
