Election post

Hindu Society has always been a welcoming and positive atmosphere for me, especially during my first year in uni; I was new to the city and amazed to find a community who shared the same values and ideals I had.
I would love to take on the role of Vice President and contribute to this ever-growing society. Successfully balancing and enjoying dance, teaching and studies, has enstilled a sense of discipline and improved my efficiency. Further refining these skills by competing with JB last year has taught me how to balance my time and be devoted to all my commitments; an ethos which I hope to bring to this role.
In 6th form, being head of Mental Fitness Ambassadors greatly improved my communication skills, which equips me to support the members of our committee. During this year I have been tutoring and have previously been a teacher through my dance school, both of which has taught me patience, how to be approachable and encouraging and how to think quickly and adapt to challenging situations. I am a focused and confident individual which will be useful in liaising with external teams during Rangeela and within the committee. Currently, I am part of the Women in Surgery Committee which has taught me more on how to deal with the financial aspect of the society and executing plans for the team. I am ready to help the society execute all of their plans to the best of my ability.
