I would love to be first year rep for this society because of the elevated importance politics has. I believe that politics is intertwined with every aspect of our lives. We have the power to understand our rights and liberties through political awareness. I believe it is essential to stay informed, and that this society is a great way to facilitate such learning.

More specifically, I would make a great first year rep as I am a dedicated law student who understands the. importance of politics and policies in our lives. But also from being head girl, to attending the university level LIMUN conference during high school, I am a proactive and engaged individual who is able to multitask all the necessary responsibilities that come with this role. Most importantly, I am able to encourage and provide guidance to fellow first years who are eager to navigate the political scene- amidst the often confusing experience that is first year at university!
