My name is Ester Wang, and I’m running for the event coordinator on Gliding Club committee.
Having been an active member for 2 years, I've became the event captain this year and organised several social events. My main goal is to enhance every members' experience and boost engagement. I would like to introduce more new and fun events and create more opportunities for connections, as well as gather feedback regularly to ensure we’re meeting everyone’s needs. I want to make sure every member feels valued and engaged into our events and initiatives.

Why Me?
As someone with experience in leadership roles, I’m familiar with the dedication and organizational skills it takes to support a successful society. My previous positions in other societies have given me a strong foundation in event management, team coordination, and member engagement—skills I’m eager to bring to the Gliding Society.
Enhancing the Member Experience
I want to make gliding accessible, enjoyable, and fulfilling for all members. This means organizing more regular flying sessions, simplifying booking processes, and offering guidance for beginners to ensure everyone feels confident and supported as they take to the skies.
Building a Thriving Community
I believe that a strong society is built on friendships and camaraderie. I would work plan engaging activities, both on the ground and in the air. Whether it’s post-gliding hangouts or larger social events, I’m committed to creating an inclusive and vibrant community.
Expanding Opportunities and Partnerships
I’d like to explore potential partnerships with other clubs and organizations to offer exclusive opportunities, such as joint events, guest speakers, or even discounted equipment. By building connections, we can enhance our members’ experiences and open up exciting new possibilities within gliding.
