Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarianism Society: Treasurer

I am excited to stand for the position of treasurer 24/25, following my role as interim treasurer over the past three months.

During this time, I have been an active committee member, supporting budgeting for events, planning, and providing on-the-day support. I have also played a key role in organising and managing society finances for fundraising events, handling payment methods, cash floats, deposits etc. I have maintained organised financial records for the society and helped set up plans for our finances for major upcoming events, such as the annual ball and society trip.

I am keen to continue as treasurer to help further the society's growth and achieve our shared goals. I am passionate about supporting our events and helping our plans succeed, whether through financial management or through event organisation.

I have enjoyed meeting so many new people and watching our community grow. Looking ahead I hope to support the long term growth of the society by ensuring adequate funding for future committees whilst ensuring the successful delivery of this year's programme.
