Climate Action Society: Events Director

I am interested in getting involved as events director for CAS because the society is synonymous with my strong convictions of protecting the environment, whilst holistically combining my other passions in arts and culture and politics. My inquisitiveness in environmental education and advocacy stemmed from my experience with early outdoors education and learning about our shared planet, which I then developed through my IBDP Environmental Systems and Societies class. Here, my love for nature and our interconnected system of life grew, leading me to author an environmental analysis examining dissolved oxygen and pH: how urbanisation and environmental protection laws impact environmentally protected areas and sustainable development? Moreover, I am passionate about concepts of sustainable development which I put into practice both academically and personally. I endeavour to live sustainably by upcycling, thrifting, and making educated and conscious ethical decisions. I am also interested in implementing a hands-on and active approach to my environmental advocacy through aspects CAS offers like volunteering, workshops, campaigns, protests, and socials.
