Being a part of Team Flash for the past few weeks has already given me incredible experiences and connections. I am running for captain because I truly love this team. The positive energy, empowering environment and the encouraging spirit of each member of this team are what made me want to contribute to building an even stronger bond in the team as a captain. 

Back in high school, I had the opportunity to lead a dance group in a show, where I choreographed routines, organised rehearsals and ensured the group emotionally connected with the piece as well as with one another. Similar to dance, I believe that the beauty of cheerleading lies in the idea that we are all working towards something meaningful. Leading a team brought me lifelong friendships and a community that is tightened through that shared goal of creating and delivering an astonishing performance. 

I want to contribute to that same sense of unity here in team Flash. I believe that being a captain means putting the team first and leading with empathy and encouragement. I will ensure that every single one of you feels valued and comfortable in this team, and that no one ever feels overlooked. As a captain, I will bring everything I have learned from my past leadership experiences to help us grow stronger as a team. I am committed to fostering an environment where communication is open, feedback is constructive, and everyone feels supported.
