Canoe Polo Club: Treasurer

Hi! 

My name's Cait and I am standing for the role of treasurer. I first fell in love in with polo at Manchester University Canoe Club three years ago, and am very keen to contribute the running of another club so we can get more people into this wonderful sport! 

Now down to the nitty gritty of why you should vote for me:

In Manchester, I previously held the role of Treasurer, meaning that I was in charge of keeping on top of club incoming and outgoings, paying invoices, claiming money from the AU, making sure members paid for sessions and trips etc., and overall controlling the budget. Therefore, I have become experienced at using university finance systems such as SUMS and eXpense365, as well as becoming a whizz kid at filling out an Excel spreadsheet! I would also like to highlight that the club did not make a loss during my time as treasurer. I'm also studying a PhD in neuroscience so I know my way around numbers and know how to be organized. 

Additionally, in previous years I have also held the role of Club Captain and Ladies Polo Sec, meaning that I understand fully the inner workings of a canoe club and how to liaise with the athletic union.



In conclusion, I'd love to help run UCL Canoe Polo and keep the uni side of this sport thriving in London, and I hope that I would be able to do that through the role of treasurer!
