Over the past ten weeks, I have led the Senior Men's squad. During this time, I’ve focused on helping to integrate our new head coach, Jon, along with welcoming more than ten new rowers into our team. I’m pleased to see that the bond among the squad has strengthened significantly compared to last year.
I’ve been working to consistently put out two strong eights on the water. I believe I have dealt well with last-minute drop-outs in finding substitutions or adjusting crews swiftly. Including erg training, we have completed around 50 group training sessions so far, 95% of which I have attended myself. We’ve also entered crews into several competitions, including Teddington Head, BUCS Indoor, and Fours Head.
I’m grateful for the support of everyone involved, and I’m happy to continue in my capacity as we continue to improve as a squad.
