Election post
As Events Officer, I aim to create a dynamic, inclusive space for students of various academic backgrounds to explore ethical issues in healthcare. As a medical student passionate about the legal and ethical challenges regarding patient rights and medical innovation, I am eager to bring these conversations to life through well-organised, engaging events.
I will collaborate with the team to design events in which our members feel empowered to challenge complex topics, such as patient autonomy and the implications of emerging technologies. This includes organising guest-speaker panels and structured debates, along with interactive case studies and small-group seminars that will equip members with strong analytical skills and ethical reasoning.
Me experience on the RUMS Operations and Finance Subcommittee has given me valuable skills in event coordination, sponsorship, and networking. I will use these to secure knowledgable speakers and partners, enhancing visibility and the impact of our events both on campus and across London universities, allowing members to network and exchange diverse perspectives.
As Events Officer, I am committed to improving communications and outreach, ensuring events are accessible, engaging, and relevant. I look forward to working with the team to inspire our members to take part in the conversation, think critically, and develop a strong foundation in bioethics and medical law.
Thank you!
