Art Society: Treasurer

As Treasurer, my focus will be on:

1. Budget Planning and Management: My first priority will be to create a comprehensive budget for the society that considers both existing activities and new initiatives. This includes ensuring there is sufficient funding for our core events—like life drawing sessions, gallery visits, and workshops—while also supporting exciting new projects such as the art magazine and graffiti workshops. I will work to allocate funds in a way that maximises quality and diversity, ensuring all members benefit.

2. Transparency and Accountability: I will establish a clear and consistent process for recording all transactions. This includes maintaining detailed records of every expense and making regular financial reports available to members, so everyone understands how funds are being managed. Transparency is crucial, and I want every member to feel confident that our funds are being used responsibly.

3. Collaborative Fundraising: Financial management is most effective when it supports the overall goals of the society. I will maintain open communication with other committee members to ensure that financial decisions align with our collective vision. 

I am passionate about fostering an environment where every type of artist feels welcome, whether you are a lifelong creator or someone just beginning to explore your interest in art. I would be honoured to work with the committee to make this year vibrant, accessible, and full of creative opportunities for all!
