Isaac Whincop

Hello! I'm Isaac, a first-year mathematics student, I am very excited to put myself forward for the role of Treasurer for the following year!

Having worked in sales for the better part of two years and in a myriad of roles before that, I am well-versed in making a strong case for things I believe in (And of course, how to close a deal!). Within this role in particular, I have spent time working for both big and small stores, and from these experiences, I have seen firsthand the importance of money management and budgeting, and how much of an impact it can make on any organisation, be it a company, society or otherwise.

As a maths nerd, I am also adept in the fields of working with numbers and solving logistics problems; I greatly enjoy what I do as a mathematician, and I am excited to explore a new avenue of maths as a treasurer.

Some of my goals as Treasurer include:

  • Using my knowledge of Excel and other relevant software to make fiscal matters more intuitive and easy to understand
  • Collaboration with charities and other societies to cultivate new sources of revenue for the society (As a runner, I'd be really interested in organising a charity marathon!)
  • Use my position to raise awareness around the topic of Autism and neurodivergence within UCL

Overall, I believe my skills would make me an asset to the Autism Society as its Treasurer, and I hope you will consider me for the role! :)
