Eva O’Connor

Hello everyone! I’m Eva O’Connor, a second year History of Art Student. I am currently helping with the marketing for Art Business Society, so I would love to continue my contribution to this group! As deputy events manager, I want to work hands on with the committee to help plan our upcoming socials and initiatives. I would love to connect more with all of you to get a sense of what kind of things are most appreciated by the society members!

At my former school Warwick Academy, I was the student humanities leader and created a public events and debate club. This gave me a wealth of experience in both leadership and events planning. I am super excited to involve my experience in hospitality as well to give all of you a smooth and enjoyable social experience. I also want to continue my relationships with our past collaborators, including the National Portrait Gallery, DRAW recruitment agency, and NXT GEN.

Please don’t be afraid to reach out to me privately or through the ABS social media to provide any feedback or new ideas!

Vivien Bartman

Hi, my name is Vivien and I’m honoured and excited to nominate myself for Deputy Events Officer of the Art Business Society. I’m a first year Italian and Art History student hoping to pursue a career in Art Business, and I’d love to help create fun and meaningful events for you all!

Last year I studied at the University of Venice, where I founded the Venice Art History Club. I organised weekly museum visits and group discussions around art in the city. I also have experience running events in museums and galleries: at the National Gallery, I gave a public talk in the Sainsbury Wing and helped run youth workshops in the learning centre. During the Venice Biennale, I worked as a Curatorial Assistant at an international exhibition of women artists, coordinating logistics and giving private tours to guests. I am part of the Youth Panel at Sir John Soane’s Museum, where we work as a team to design programmes engaging young people in national heritage. These roles have taught me how to run smooth, enjoyable and engaging public events and strengthened my organisational and social skills.

If elected, I promise to be committed, organised and enthusiastic in helping run art fair and gallery visits, networking opportunities and socials. I personally always keep on top of new and exciting exhibitions and opportunities, so you can count on me to keep us all updated on the next best thing. I promise clear communication and fresh, entertaining ideas for all of us to enjoy!
