Settling into a new routine - or a new course, or even a new city! - means that Term 1 tends to fly by. Students' Union UCL is here to help you make the most of it. Pick a goal (or two, or three!), see what's on, and let your perfect year take shape.
We're hitting the ground running to start building up your employability skills with our Personal Branding Workshop, including a free headshot!
But if giving back is more your style, our Community Engagement team has what you need: a Charity Crafternoon, where you can put your artsy side towards helping out - and a special lecture about building ethical businesses with the CEO of Lemonaid.
Finish off the month and make some new friends with our Halloween Movie Night - not too scary, promise. If you can't get enough of the spooky season spirit, you can drop by and decorate some pumpkins and meet your Student Support and Wellbeing team.
November's the perfect time to remember to keep yourself moving with Project Active, our beginner-friendly sport programme. We've got Canary Wharf based badminton classes, water sports, and a run club!
If you're looking ahead to the holidays, you can spend a crafty time with friends doing Paint and Sip Pottery - it was a sellout during Welcome, so now's your chance! Plus, our retail outlet The Hanger will be making an appearance on L49, so you can grab all the merch you need. Treat yourself - by this time of year, you've earned it!
We're celebrating the end of the year with a warming afternoon tea and a chance to explore London at the Old Royal Naval College, which you'll probably recognise from some of your favourite films.
Then, finish term with the stall that started them all... yes, the return of our hit cookie decoration pop-up on L49, featuring the best hot chocolate in Canary Wharf. Is it art? Is it a snack? Why not both?
Check out the notice boards on L38, L49, and L50 for the most up to date news - and let us know if you have your own information you'd like to share there!
Stop by L49 every Tuesday from 11am - 2pm for our tea and coffee pop-up! Grab a hot drink, introduce yourself, and learn about a new Students' Union service or activity every week.
Our JobShop has year-round opportunities to make some extra money and gain work experience with jobs designed for student schedules.
Got an idea of your own? The Student Leadership Fund is here to help you put on the event or activity of your dreams.
