Idea for research
Idea for research
Thai Boxing Fighters Academy are seeking researchers to capture health and wellbeing outcomes from their martial arts classes. This could involve a range of quantitative and qualitative methods.

Research could explore:
- Health and wellbeing indicators for Bangladeshi populations. The Thai Boxing Fighters Academy are based within Tower Hamlets, a predominantly Bangladeshi borough.
- The impact of the classes on SEND children, who are an important service user group for the organisation.

The research would be situated in the context of health and wellbeing interventions in relation to these populations.
Researchers are encouraged to get involved with the work of the organisation as much as they can, and will be eligible for free Thai boxing lessons if they like!
Impact of idea
This research will support Thai Boxing Fighters Academy with their impact and evaluation work. Having a strong evidence base for their work will enhance future funding bids. As a grassroots organisation, they are excited to work closely with a dedicated student over an extended time period. They would encourage the selected researcher(s) to fully embed themselves in the work of organisation, and have offered free access to the classes.
