A massive welcome to UCL Bangla Society!

We pride ourselves on being one of the warmest, most active societies on campus. We balance high-energy socials with relaxed, creative spaces so there is always something for you.

And no, you do not have to be Bengali to join us! Our events completely open to all students, regardless of background. You just need a love for good food, amazing vibes, and unforgettable memories.

What We Do

  • Lively socials: Entertaining games nights, board game socials and quiz nights (with chai!)
  • Girls’ Nights & Creative Socials: Cozy painting sessions with hot chocolate, custom jewellery-making and glamorous galentines
  • Boys’ Nights & Sports: Relaxed hangouts, gaming, competitive football tournaments and exhilarating paintballing trips
  • Cultural Gala Dinners: Dress-up events like our stunning Victory Day Dinner and Ekushey February celebrations where you can wear your best traditional outfits.
  • Inter-Uni Collaborations: Spectacular mega-events and joint trips with Cambridge University, LSE, Queen Mary and other societies across the UK.
  • MAA Month: Fundraising efforts for the Maternal Aid Association featuring delicious bake sales, candle-making workshops and cake decorating contests!

Are you convinced to join us yet? (The correct answer is yes)

If you’re still on the fence about becoming a member, hopefully our convincing will be successful. Members receive exclusive access and heavily discounted (or completely free!) tickets to our phenomenal events throughout the year.

Not to mention, we will be holding our Term 1 By-Elections this October where you will get a chance to be part of our committee and help shape our biggest year yet! However in order to run for a role or vote in elections, you must hold a paid society membership for at least 28 days before nominations close. Buy your membership during Welcome Week so your window clears in time!
